Statement from Archbishop of Liverpool following the attacks in Southport

Brothers and Sisters, Southport, I pledge the love, support, and prayer of the Catholic
community of Merseyside for those who lost their lives, their families,
and all affected by this tragedy in the neighbourhood streets of Southport.

We have just heard of the third little child who has died and we are
simply silent before the tragic and senseless loss of innocent life.
Our prayers remain with their families, the emergency services, the hospitals,
and the people of Southport as we stand alongside them at this horrendous time.
