Former X-Factor star visits her old primary school to talk about her faith
Singer-songwriter and former X-Factor finalist, Talia Dean, visited her former primary school to meet pupils and talk about her work as an Ambassador for the international aid agency, CAFOD, much to the delight and excitement of the pupils and staff.
Kevin, a schools volunteer from CAFOD, kicked things off during Talia’s visit to The Rosary Catholic Primary School in Heston, Middlesex by talking about the charity’s work overseas and Talia followed up by singing hymns and praying with the children. She also shared her inspiring journey back to faith, explaining how her experience with fame (on the X-Factor) made her realise that true fulfilment comes from within.
Talia said: “Being back at my old school is such a privilege. They were the best years of my life, I’m so grateful because this school shaped me in so many ways and it was the first time I felt really close to God. I was delighted to come back as an Ambassador for CAFOD. I’ve been supporting the charity’s work since I was at The Rosary. Seeing the love, innocence and enlightenment in the children’s eyes fills me with so much joy . These children are going to change the world and that brings me a lot of hope for the future.”
